Getting Here and Local Area

Leighton is about 3 miles from the historic and popular medieval village of Much Wenlock stocked with cafes and gift shops and well known for playing a major part in the 19th century revival of the Olympic Games.

Both Telford and Shrewsbury train stations are about 15 mins drive away and collection and drop off can be easily arranged. For those that prefer to drive, there is private parking at the house.

Ironbridge, a popular destination for tourists with its UNESCO World Heritage Visitor Centre, is also only 4 miles away.

Extensive shopping and further sight seeing is available in nearby Shrewsbury, 15 minutes drive away and the beautiful medieval castle town of Ludlow, popular with visitors for its food, history and art, is 25 miles away.

There are countless wonderful walks right on the doorstep, including the magnificent Wenlock Edge escarpment and the Wrekin.
