Blithfield Willow Crafts 2 day willow weaving workshop making a stunning fruit basket / berry basket with handles, the name choice is yours!.
Beginners welcome. No prior experience is necessary, simply the willingness to create something beautiful.
The aim of the 2 days is to be shown by the very best the techniques used to make a round handled basket (this can be as deep or shallow as you would like) and to offer as many useful tips as possible.
Eddie from Blithfield will be there to offer assistance and answer any questions you have along the way so you leave with a basket to be proud of!
Topics covered will be – work base setups, stake and strand, different variations of traditional weaves, 3 rod waling and reverse waling, 5 or 6 rod borders, a choice of x2 different handles.
Like all our courses, handmade and, where possible, locally sourced lunch and tea included every day.
